EcoChic Fairtrade

Our range of beaded jewellery is carefully sourced from a number of Fair Trade suppliers. The eleganza necklace in particular is from Tara Projects.

Tara projects works with economically disadvantaged artisans to create opportunities to improve their income and their children's future. Tara campaigns against exploitation, poverty, illiteracy and child and bonded labour. Tara also campaigns for women's and girl's right to education.

Tara is funding and running a number of small schools for children to improve their lives of child labourers working for commercial factories as well as running several vocational training centers and adult literacy centers.

People Tree and Traidcraft works with Tara Projects to give design and quality assistance, fair prices, advance payment and regular orders as well as campaigns together internationally on many social issues.
